MINI PRINT FINLAND 1998
Lahti Art Museum 4.9-11.10.1998
The previous Miniprint Finland in 1998 received some 1700 graphic works
from 478 artists representing 52 countries. The competition committee for
selecting the exhibited works was Graphic Artist Outi Kirves, Sculptor Jukka
Lehtinen, Potter Heikki Rahikainen, Graphic Artist Antti Salokannel
ja Artist Hannu Tampio. 631 works from 188 artists from 38 countries was
selected to the exhibition.
The Grand Prix winner (1200 USD) was Mr. Sandro Bracchitta, Italy. The
commendations (600 USD) were given to Mr. Peter Milton, USA and Mr. Jöran
Österman, Sweden. The jury gave also Honourable mentions to Mr. Yoshio
Imamura, Japan ja Mr. Antti Ratalahti, Finland.
The patrons of exhibition were Mr. Oili-Pekka Heinonen, Minister of Education,
Mr. Pertti Virtanen, MP and Mr. Sulo Aittoniemi, MP. The Exhibition was supported
by The Finnish Cultural Foundation , the Art Commitee of Tavastia, Kauno-project,
Teknoware Oy, Area Oy, Eiri-kehys, Markprint, Leevi Print, Charbonnel, Arvelin Oy,
Studio RR, Larson Juhl, Eskolan taide ja kehys, Jussin Väri, Lahden konekirjoitusopisto
and Restaurant Teerenpeli.
